Florida Keys & Coast Motorhome Holiday

See the Sunshine State by motorhome and make the most of Florida's gorgeous climate.

Perfect for families, groups of friends or couples looking for a mixture of fun and relaxation, this motorhome holiday showcases the diversity of the Sunshine State. With the freedom of the motorhome you can choose to extend or shorten any part of the trip: stay longer at Orlando's theme parks, skip the theme parks and lose track of time in the Florida Keys, or maybe you prefer to dedicate more time to Florida’s Gulf coast or Atlantic beaches - it is entirely up to you.

Tour highlights

    • Drive the Overseas Highway to Key West
    • Ride an airboat in Everglades National Park
    • Beautiful beaches on Florida’s Gulf and Atlantic coasts
    • Thrills & spills in Orlando's theme parks

Day 1

UK to Miami

Fly into fun and famous Miami, where art deco architecture lines the beach and Latin beats fill the air. Spend a night here to rest after the flight.

Day 2

Miami to Grassy Key

Collect your motorhome and strike out onto the open road. Before long you will come to the end of mainland USA and the incredible Overseas Highway stretches out before you. Zoom across the expanse of the ocean before arriving at Grassy Key RV Park, almost the midpoint of this archipelago.

Day 3

Grassy Key to Key West

Enjoy a leisurely drive along the rest of the highway to the southernmost point in the continental USA: Key West. Made famous by the sunset celebrations at Mallory Square, this laidback outpost enjoys a distinctly Caribbean pace of life. Boyd’s Key West Campground is about 5 miles from central Key West.

Day 4

Key West to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park

Make the return journey to the mainland, zipping over islets and sandbanks, as you head to the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Snorkel over pristine coral reefs, kayak through the coastal mangroves or scuba dive to the submerged statue of Christ in this wondrous ocean paradise.

Day 5

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park to Everglades National Park

It is a short drive through to the unique habitat that is the Florida Everglades. Join an airboat ride to zip across this vast and slowly moving landscape and keep a look out for the plethora of fauna that call the region home such as the adorable manatee and the elusive Florida Panther.

Day 6

Everglades National Park to Sanibel Island

Today’s journey takes you north and around the national park before heading for the Gulf coast. Famed for its long stretches of white sand and balmy climate, the Gulf coast offers rest and relaxation for all the family. Cross over to Sanibel Island and the friendly Periwinkle Trailer Park.

Day 7

Sanibel Island to Fort de Soto State Park

Follow the coast north until you reach another spectacular over water highway. This time you are on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge that crosses the Tampa Bay from Terra Ceia to St. Petersburg and from there it is a short drive to the Fort De Soto State Park. Formerly a military fortification, this island is now a serene reserve of walking trails, gorgeous beaches and camping areas.

Days 8-10

Fort de Soto State Park to Orlando

Head to central Florida and the capital of fun: Orlando. Families will love the theme parks so choose which ones you want to visit and we can get the tickets booked for you. Orlando isn’t just for theme parks though - there is great golfing, go karting and hot balloon rides among many other fun days out to choose from.

Day 11

Orlando to Juno Beach

Continue across the Florida peninsula to the Atlantic Ocean and world-famous Cape Canaveral. Here you will find NASA’s Kennedy Space Center which offers an intriguing insight into America’s space missions with tours of the launch areas, an iMax movie of the moon and the opportunity to train in a spaceflight simulator. Afterwards continue south to the lovely resort of Juno Beach.

Day 12

Juno Beach to Dania Beach

This expanse of coast is home to Florida’s rich and famous, with huge mansions and luxurious shops just steps from the stretches of golden sand. Stop for lunch at Palm Beach before continuing south to the lovely Dania Beach.

Day 13

Dania Beach to Miami

It is a short drive back to Miami where you drop off your motorhome ahead of your flight back to the UK.
