The Zambezi Queen offers a completely different game viewing experience to land-based safaris. Travelling approximately 25km down the Chobe River, home to some of the largest populations of elephant in Africa, you can enjoy sightings of these majestic animals coming down to the water to drink and bathe in the river – and if you're really lucky, with their babies! You’ll also get to spot a variety of other wildlife, such as buffalo, crocodile and the occasional lion and leopard along with an abundance of fascinating birdlife overhead.
Each of the 14 cabins comes with your choice of twin or double bed, a ceiling fan and a private balcony with stunning views of the Chobe River. On the top deck of the multi-level boat, you will find an air-conditioned dining room, lounge and bar as well as an open air sundeck with a plunge pool. The views from up here are phenomenal! As the houseboat is moored in Namibian waters each evening, you can enjoy the best view of the sunset. And what’s more, the Zambezi Queen is eco-friendly! Powered by water jets for propulsion and solar heating means it has minimal effect on the environment and you can get up close to the wildlife on the riverbanks without being threatening.
