Day 1

UK to South Africa, Johannesberg

Once landed in South Africa you will be met and transferred to Sandton City the metropolitan area of Johannesburg where you will spend one night where you can choose to eat in any of the very well presented high class restaurants on the square that are all accessible from the hotel.

Day 2

Johannesburg - Pretoria

Following breakfast your transfer will pick you up and drive you to Pretoria Train Station which is only a sort transfer away.  Once arrived you will be given a short introduction to the train and check yourselves in.

The train departs the station at approximately 15h:00 and travels south through the goldfields of Witwatersrand.

Kimberley - Karoo

Breakfast is served from 09:45 in the dining cart, indulge in the array of food on a selection from continental to freshly cooked meals and freshly squeezed juices all while the train moves quietly along the tracks to your next stop.

Just after noon the train pulls in the town of Kimberley which is of course famous for its diamonds and the Big Hole.  Here you will have a tour of the diamond museum and the extraordinary Big Hole. 

Dinner is served in the dining cart where jacket and tie must be worn which is only fitting as the train is steeped in class and eticate.

Day 3

Day 4

Cape Town

On the last morning of your rail journey, The train takes you ever closer to Cape Town but before that you have a mid morning stop at the historical settlement of Matjiesfontein. 

in the afternoon during lunch the train heads down the face of the escarpment and into the winelands to Worcester.  Your train eventually pulls into platform 24 in Cape Town at 18h:00 where you disembark and head to your hotel for the evening.

Day 5 - Day 6

Cape Town

During the next couple days in Cape Town, you will get a chance to explore this amazing city. From a full day Cape Point tour and a full day Winelands tour you will not miss out on the opportunity to capture everything that Cape Town offers.

The Cape Point tour takes you through all the well known areas such as Clifton beach, 12 Apostles Peaks and the sheer white cliffs and breathtaking rock formations. These are only a few of the majestic landmarks that you will get to explore.

The winelands tour takes you to an estate in Paarl that will have you tasting cheeses and wines before heading to Franschhoek for yet another tantalising wine experience. Time permitting a third wine tasting will be on order in the picturesque town of Stellenborch.

Cape Town - UK

Today sees you leave South Africa.  A transfer will pick you up and take you to the international airport where you will board your flight for the UK.
