Day 2 (Dar es Salaam – Udzungwa)

Dar es Salaam – Udzungwa

After breakfast, you will be met by your safari driver for your scenic drive to Udzungwa, equipped with picnic lunch. Arriving in the afternoon, you will head off on a trek through the Udzungwa Mountains with the chance to enjoy some spectacular bird watching and game viewing. Return to the camp in time for dinner.

Day 2 (Dar es Salaam – Udzungwa)

After breakfast, depart for Ruaha with a packed lunch. Enjoy a thrilling game drive en route to the camp located inside the park. Ruaha, with an area of 10,300sq.km, is the second largest national park - and second largest elephant sanctuary - in Tanzania.

Follow the great Ruaha River, home to a large number of hippos and crocodiles. The wide variety of animals include Greater and Lesser Kudu, Roan and Sable Antelope. Birdlife is rich, with over 370 species recorded.

The camp is positioned on the banks of the Rufiji River which allows the opportunity to witness hippo and crocodile in their natural habitat. On arrival at the camp, you will have some time to relax and soak in the African bush atmosphere as the crew set up your camp for dinner.

Selous Game Reserve, Africa's largest wildlife sanctuary, is bigger than Denmark and four times the size of the Serengeti. It has the world's largest number of big game within its borders, as well as over 350 species of birdlife on the cards for twitchers. Arrive back at your camp in the early evening in time for dinner.
