    Day 1 (Arrival and overnight in Calgary)

    Calgary - better know as Stampede City in honour of "the greatest outdoor show on earth" - this wonderful city is awash with heritage and culture. Calgary Zoo, the Military Museums, Heritage Park Historical Village, and the renowned Calgary Tower are all worth a visit, and you'd do well to book a place on a sightseeing tour to get up close and personal with the city's rich past. Located just 50 miles east of the Rockies mountain range, Calgary is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city waiting to steal your heart.

    Day 2 & 3 (Calgary to Banff - 81 Mi)

    Setting your sights on the magnificent Rocky Mountains, todays journey will see you make tracks towards the charming, bustling town of Banff. Travelling first through the foothills you will soon reach Banff National Park where the craggy peaks loom large. With two nights in Banff there is certainly time to get out and about around town and the surrounding area, and there certainly is a lot to do. Why not take a gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain or spend a few hours strolling around the many shops. If your feeling a bit more adventurous river rafting on the Bow River or a boat tour on beautiful Lake Minnewanka could be an option.

    En route to Jasper, via the spectacular Icefields Parkway, said to be one of the most scenic routes in all the world, we would absolutely suggest stopping at Lake Louise and Peyto Lake. The scenery and surround landscapes are something straight out of a picture and are simple breath-taking. Don't miss the opportunity to stop off at Maligne Canyon in Jasper National Park too, before finally arriving in the town of Jasper for the night.

    Day 5 (Jasper to Sun Peaks- 243 Mi)

    Taking the Yellowhead Highway from Jasper to Sun Peaks will see you drive the same route first explored by trappers and traders to the region. The picturesque scenery continues as you pass by Mount Terry Fox as well as Mount Robson which, the highest mountain peak in the Canadian Rockies. If you still have a bit of free time stop off at Wells Gray Provincial Park to explore the nature reserve that prides itself on the untamed and pristine state of its wilderness.

    Day 6 & 7 (Sun Peaks to Vancouver - 252 Mi)

    As you traverse the stunning, sagebrush-covered ranch lands along the South Thompson River towards Vancouver, you'll pass through lands that are home to vast herds of cattle and cowboys on horseback. Making your way forwards you will enter between the towering rock walls of the Fraser Canyon where white-water rapids flow far below before the lush Fraser Valley opens up into the maritime basin characteristic of the Lower Mainland region. Once in Vancouver - Canada’s Gateway to the Pacific - there is no shortage of places to explore and discover. Take advantage of the San Francisco-style trolley for a fully commented Vancouver city tour that will transport you to many of the city's top attractions, parks and restaurants.
