Casa de Campo Resort & Villas offers everything under the sun in one sun- and fun-filled resort. It’s part of a 7,000 acre resort community which includes three Pete Dye 18-hole golf courses (the most famous, Teeth of the Dog, is considered the best in the Caribbean), a private beach, marina and even the quaint village of Altos de Chavon – home to an amphitheatre, museums, restaurants and a church. Set out on an enormous estate, guests get around by golf cart (free for each room) where they can take part in a variety of exciting activities from dinner series and dance classes to Ayurvedic consultations and performances at the amphitheatre. Kids are kept entertained with supervised children’s programmes such as puppet shows to craft classes and the whole family can relax with a movie at the resort cinema. While away the daytime hours on a sun lounger on the sands of the beautiful private beach, Minitas, go horse riding through the lush surrounds or relax with a cocktail at one of the resort’s many quirky restaurants and bars.
