Kick off your holiday by flying into the Thai capital, Bangkok for three days of city sightseeing. Visit gleaming temples, cruise along the river and dine on street food at the night market. Travel south to Khao Sok for an incredible experience at Elephant Hills – get up close to Asia’s largest land mammals, feeding and washing these gentle creatures. The second half of your itinerary is spent relaxing on the beaches of Khanom and Koh Samui – dolphin spotting and snorkelling excursions can easily be arranged for a touch of activeness!

Day 1 - Arrival into Bangkok

Fly into Bangkok and be met at the airport for a representative before transferring to the COMO Metropolitan, your base for the next three nights. Settle into your room at this contemporary design hotel complete with Nespresso coffee machine, complimentary WiFi and fresh fruit delivered daily.

Head out from your hotel into Thailand’s buzzing capital for a full day of self-guided sightseeing. Discover why Bangkok is known as the ‘Venice of the East’ with a boat trip along the Chao Phraya River and the city’s khlongs (canals) in a traditional longtail boat. Spend time hitting some of the biggest attractions including the impressive Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew that houses the Emerald Buddha and Wat Po temple where you can soothe tired muscles with a Thai massage. In the evening head to the night market for delicious street food bursting with a mixture of flavours from spicy and sour to sweet and salty.

Bangkok – Full Day at Leisure

Wake up late and have a leisurely breakfast before spending the morning making use of the excellent facilities at the COMO Metropolitan. Recharge with a complimentary yoga class, treat yourself to a personalised spa treatment or swim a couple of laps at the outdoor swimming pool. In the afternoon explore Bangkok’s Chinatown and Little India, rent a bike and cycle the paths through Lumphini Park and test your haggling skills at the riverside or floating markets. Drink cocktails during Happy Hour at the hotel’s Met Bar or stay up late and dine in your room from the Night Owl menu.

Have breakfast at the hotel before checking out and transferring to Bangkok Airport for your onward flight to Surat Thani airport early in the morning. Upon arrival, be collected by a representative from Elephant Hills and head overland to the Luxury Tented Camp for a two night stay.

At the camp you’ll have the chance for an ‘elephant experience’ where you’ll feed, wash and interact with Asia’s largest land mammal. This is followed by a canoe safari down the Sok River, before ending the day with a movie, dance performances and cooking demonstration.

Breakfast at your leisure and listen to the sounds of birdsong and gibbon calls as you drink tea or coffee in your luxury tent. Begin the day’s activities with a cruise on southern Thailand’s Cheow Lan Lake with its imposing limestone cliffs and diverse wildlife.

From here you’ll head to the unique floating Rainforest Camp for check in and sumptuous buffet lunch. Accompanied by a local guide, walk through the jungle surrounding the camp, home to a wide variety of plant, bird and animal life. Return to your private tent where you can take a dip in the waters before sitting down to dinner.

Following breakfast take to the waters of Cheow Lan Lake once more for a canoe safari, exploring the side channels and scanning treetops for sightings of hornbills and primates. Return to camp for a final meal before being collected and transferred to Khanom where you’ll check in to the Aava Resort & Spa and settle into your Deluxe Bungalow.

Unspoiled and little visited by tourists, Khanom is an ideal place to simply relax and take things slow. Hop on board the hotel’s free transportation to the market on Wednesday mornings or Sunday evenings to engage with locals selling fresh fruit, vegetables and fish.

The area is most known for its pod of pink dolphins – this is one of the few places in the world where you can spot these rare mammals. Speak to the concierge about arranging a tour by longtail or fishing boat – you’ll also be taken to the Koh Nui Nork Island where the legendary Buddhist monk, Luang Por Tuad, is said to have been deserted.
