Day 1

UK to Cape Town

Upon landing into wonderful Cape Town you will be taken to your hotel by private transfer. For a relaxed first evening in South Africa take a stroll to discover why the Cape Peninsula has become a food-lovers paradise. Restaurants and bars serve locally grown produce that has been carefully crafted into some of the finest food and wines in the world.

Days 2 - Day 4 (Cape Town)

Cape Town

Cape Town is a great city to explore, boasting plenty of attractions as well as pretty oceanfront neighbourhoods that will tempt you to stop, settle into a warm outdoor terrace and enjoy a glass or two of your favourite tipple. Discover the city's incredible museums and take the cable car up Table Mountain for incredible city views.

Day 5 (Rovos Rail)

Rovos Rail

Check out of your hotel and enjoy a transfer to Cape Town railway station. Arrive at the station for 10am so you have plenty of time to register and get settled in your suite before departure at 11am. Lunch is served in the dining carriage and then you are free to enjoy life on board the Rovos Rail. Head to the observation car to see the mountains of the winelands drift past or relax in your suite with a good book as you are whisked across the arid Karoo.

Day 6 (Rovos Rail)

Waking up to a morning on the rails is a wonderful experience. As the gentle rocking of the carriage continues, you are woken up by the fresh aroma of roasted coffee beans and warm pastries. Todays highlight is a stop at the diamond capital of the world Kimberley and a visit to the world's largest mine: the Big Hole.

Day 7 (Rovos Rail to Pretoria)

Rovos Rail to Pretoria

Enjoy a final morning on board the Rovos Rail and watch through the windows as the wild remoteness of South Africa begins to give way to the twin cities of Johannesburg and Pretoria. You will be transferred to your Pretoria hotel to enjoy an afternoon at leisure.

Day 8 (Pretoria to Kruger National Park)

A transfer will take you to Johannesburg airport for the short flight north the the Greater Kruger National Park area. Upon landing into the Sabi Sabi airport you will be whisked to the nearby game reserve which sits adjacent to Kruger National Park. Sabi Sands enjoys an entirely open border with the park, meaning the same animals can roam freely over an even larger area. There is a huge range of accommodation options to choose from in Sabi Sands Game Reserve and each one has been built in a way that is entirely sympathetic to the environment.

Day 8 (Pretoria to Kruger National Park)

Life on safari perfectly combines the thrill of adventure with the relaxation of a tropical retreat. Early in the morning your driver will arrive to collect you for the first of the day's game drives. As the African bush comes to life with the warmth of the sun you will see all manner of wonderful animals like zebras. elephants and giraffes. You guide will be on the look out for the Big 5 and you can help too, spotting for lions and leopards as you drive through the countryside. Late in the afternoon you will return to the bush for you second safari, seeing the animals as they awaken after the heat of the day. In the evening enjoy fantastic food and drink, share stories of the day's exploits with other guests then retreat to your room for a good night's sleep.

Days 9 - Day 10 (Sabi Sands Game Reserve)
